Our Doctors

Khanh V. Dao, O.D.

Dr. Khanh V. Dao established SFO Family EyeCare inside the South San Francisco Costco in 2005 and has over 15 years of clinical experience. Dr. Dao graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics from UC Davis and went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry.  His pre-Doctorate rotations included the U.S. Naval Hospital Yokosuka in Yokosuka, Japan, the HuHuKam Memorial Hospital for the Gila River Indian Community in Arizona, and the Native American Hospital in Lawton Oklahoma.

Dr. Dao is committed to providing quality eye care to the community. He performs more than 3,000 eye exams each year on patients ranging from 4 years old to 90 years old. Dr. Dao has performed more than 50,000 eye exams in the past 18 years.  He enjoys giving the best eye care using state of the art technology while providing affordable services.

In his spare time, Dr. Dao enjoys snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid sports fan and roots for the Warriors, Niners, and SF Giants.

Dr. Dao is fluent in English and can conduct exams in Spanish and Vietnamese.

Teresa Wu, O.D.

Dr. Teresa Wu attended UC Berkeley and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology with a minor in Education. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 2013. Dr. Wu specializes in primary care, pediatrics, ocular disease, and specialty contact lenses. She has received a Clinical Honors Award and Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care. 

Dr. Wu has been providing excellent patient care at SFO Family EyeCare since 2017.

In her spare time, Dr. Wu enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, trying new restaurants in the city, and playing CandyCrush.

Kenneth Chiu, O.D.

Dr. Kenneth Chiu graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of California at Davis and earned his Doctorate degree from Pacific University School of Optometry.  Dr. Chiu joined SFO Family EyeCare at the start of 2020.  Prior to joining us, Dr. Chiu had over 19 years of patient care experience at another Costco.  

In his spare time, Dr. Chiu enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys.

Dr. Chiu is fluent in English, Cantonese, and can conduct exams in Spanish.

Ellen Ong, O.D.

Dr. Ellen Ong joined SFO Family Eyecare in June of 2020. She completed both her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science-Physiology & Metabolism and Doctor of Optometry at the University of California, Berkeley. She did not stop there, she went on to complete her residency in Pediatric Optometry and Binocular Vision.

She is certified in the Treatment and Management of Eye Diseases as well as fitting patients with the newest technology in contact lenses. Dr. Ong enjoys performing comprehensive primary care, medical, and contact lens examinations on a diverse population ranging from kids to geriatrics. She is proficient with various myopia control treatments in pediatric populations.

Linh Nguyen, O.D.

Dr. Linh Nguyen attended UCLA and earned her Bachelor of Science in PsychoBiology in 2015. She then received her Doctor of Optometry at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, where she graduated at the top of her class with honors.

Dr. Nguyen then focused her post-graduate training in Primary Care and Low Vision Residency Program at the VA in Long Beach. She is Board Certified by the State of California to diagnose, manage, and treat diseases of the eye, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.

Jacqueline Mai, O.D.

Dr. Jacqueline Mai attended UCLA and earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology with a minor in Neuroscience. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley School of Optometry.  She is certified to perform comprehensive exams on patients of all ages, manage and treat ocular diseases, and fit specialty contact lenses.

Dr. Mai is fluent in English, Vietnamese, and can conduct exams in Spanish.

Tony TsungMing Hung, O.D.

Dr. TsungMing (Tony) Hung completed his bachelor’s degree in Biological Science at Rutgers University. He then earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science (MCPHS) in 2016, where he was awarded “clinical excellence in the field of Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy” upon graduation. Dr. Hung also completed a one-year residency program in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy. In 2019, Dr. Hung and his wife moved to California and has been practicing in the bay area since then.

Dr. Hung specializes in primary eye care, ocular disease, pediatric eye care and myopia control.

Dr. Hung speaks fluent English and Mandarin Chinese.
